Today, Kevin rolled out the new Cool New Media website power by the Joomla CMS platform, a leading open source PHP/MYSQL based content management system.

"I chose Joomla as it appeared to be easy to work with and time will tell if that truly is the case. For this site release, I am using a stock Joomla install with a few addtional modules.

The look and feel is from RocketTheme and comes from there GPL open source template Novus as it was pretty nice and allowed me to roll out a new site without investing an enormous amount of time developing graphics."

As part of this Joomla rollout, a few custom modules have been added including a portfolio module, SEO friendly URLS (using apache mod-rewrite), and a content keyword links module.
