Google Analytics is a free service provided by Google where you install a snippet of JavaScipt on every page to effectively tag each page of your site. The snippet of code makes a log entry on Google's side every time for every page view and effectly creates a duplicate running log of the site. The Google Analytics service generates very good reports. For a business user, Google translates the complex numbers from web stats analysis into easy to read and understand figures and graphs. The net result is a better understanding of what is happening on your web site.
