Cool New Media assists McAllister Media
McAllister Media, located in Victoria BC, came to Cool New Media to help troubleshoot a language display bug they were experiencing on one of the new Joomla powered bi-lingual websites they were building for a client.
This was a tricky bug and difficult to track down. After an initial inspection, we spent time using a methodical debugging approach to troubleshooting Joomla!, JoomFish! (a popular extension installed to support multi-language websites), and other installed extensions.
With success, we managed to find the problem and correct it. This issue was traced to an installed plug-in that was somehow interacting with the Joomfish! language selection logic as part this particular web configuration.
